Buy Syringa Bloomerang Pink Perfume ('Pink Perfume') (PBR) repeat flowering lilac: Flowers non-stop for many months

This shrub is deciduous so it will lose all its leaves in autumn, then fresh new foliage appears again each spring.

  • Position: full sun
  • Soil: fertile, humus-rich, well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil
  • Rate of growth: average
  • Flowering period: April to May, then intermittently until October
  • Hardiness: fully hardy

This easy to grow shrub will flower for months, so it is perfect for smaller gardens where you need high-performance plants. Like other lilacs, it has an initial (main) flush of flowers in mid- to late spring, but then it will carry on flowering intermittently right through to mid-autumn. It is relatively compact so can be grown in a large patio pot if kept well fed and watered, and will make a rewarding addition to the shrub or mixed border.

  • Garden care: In mid-summer remove the faded flower heads carefully using secateurs to avoid damaging the young shoots. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant in early spring.

Good quality hardy plant

I ordered this online in June because I couldn't find a pink perfume syringa in any of my local garden centres. The plant that arrived was in pristine condition; larger than I expected and very well packaged. It is now well established, healthy and has grown considerably in the last three months. I have high hopes this plant will flourish and flower in the fullness of time.

Mine is 2 years old now and still hasn't done much.

Easy to establish

Has grown well in first season. Flowers were small but fragrant. I have high hopes for the future.

Is the Syringa Bloomerang Pink Perfume ('Pink Perfume') (PBR) highly scented.

It's hard to describe the strength of the perfume as it will be stronger in warmer conditions, but these plants definitely have sweetly scented flowers.

if I plant a 9cm pot of this lilac will it flower the following spring?

Cedar of Lebanon

Hello there This plant is supplied in a 3lt pot which could flower in the first year given the right conditions, but sorry we cannot guarantee this.

Hi, I have very dark sandy soil, here in Hampshire, I would like to create a cottage garden here without having to put tons and tons of top soil on the boarders as there are some plants already in place please would you advise me what to plant, (fox gloves multiply like crazy) Many thanks, Margaret

Hello, There are lots of things that spring to mind - here are some of my favourites Verbena bonariensis Buddleja Cistus Achillea Leucanthemum

Fragrant shrubs

Certain shrubs flower with the roses and Philadelphus 'Belle Etoile' has a citrus scent. The white flowers have a subtle maroon splash that picks up the colour of pink and purple-pink roses and this compact shrub will only reach man-height. The hint of
