A vigorous, broadly columnar tree (often with thorny shoots), it makes an excellent specimen for a sunny, sheltered garden.

How to care for Robinia pseudoacacia Frisia:
Plant Robinia in a sunny spot with free-draining soil, setting it at the same depth it grew in the pot and watering well in the first couple of seasons to help it root in. Keep the area around the base clear of weeds, mulch lightly each spring to hold moisture, and avoid digging near the root zone as this encourages suckers. Stake firmly.
