This vigorous cordon cultivated variety produces trusses of neat, red, Roma-style fruits around 50-65g (1.7-2.3oz) each, with firm, meaty flesh and few seeds, giving you that rich, balanced flavour that works beautifully in sauces, roasting trays or sliced fresh into salads. The fruits ripen early and evenly, hanging in generous clusters against healthy green foliage.
Growing as an indeterminate plant, it will reach around 180-200cm (6-6½ft), so tie it to a cane or string and pinch out side shoots to keep it productive and manageable. Tomato ‘Nagina’ performs well in both greenhouses and sunny outdoor spots, and it’s especially valued for its strong resistance to early and late blight, making it a dependable choice for UK gardens.

How to care for tomato Nagina:
Support plants as they grow by tying the main stem to canes or string, and regularly pinch out side-shoots to focus energy into fruiting. Keep soil consistently moist and feed weekly with a high-potash fertiliser once flowers appear.
Towards the end of the season, to help ripen any remaining fruit, lift the plants off supports and lay them flat in a sunny, sheltered spot, ideally under a cloche to retain warmth.

Sowing instructions:
From February to May, sow 1cm deep in trays or two seeds per pot selecting the strongest seedling on germination. This takes one to two weeks and is best done at 64°F (18°C), ideally in a heated propagator, or covered with a clear plastic bag and placed on a warm windowsill. Use multi-purpose compost, to cover seeds.
