Plant description
Plant in full sun or light shade using fertile, free-draining compost and water moderately, allowing the surface to dry between soakings. The flowers are largely self-cleaning but responds well to a light pinch in spring and occasional deadheading, and once established it shows impressive drought and heat tolerance for reliable, long-lasting colour from late spring into autumn.

How to care for Pelargonium peltatum Ville de Dresden Improved:
Pot up seedlings and cuttings and grow them on under glass until the risk of frost has passed. Once conditions are warmer, they can be planted directly into well-prepared beds, or used to fill patio pots, window boxes, and hanging baskets for long-lasting seasonal colour. Larger potted bedding plants don’t usually need potting on but will benefit from initial frost protection in spring.
To keep bedding plants looking their best, and where applicable, pinch out the tips to promote bushier growth and water regularly, especially in containers where compost dries out quickly. Feed with a high-potash fertiliser every couple of weeks to encourage continuous flowering. Deadhead faded blooms, as required, to extend the display and keep plants tidy, ensuring vibrant summer flowers from planting time right through to the first frosts.
