If I could only have one garden tool, this would be it

5

I wish I'd known about the Ninja before now. It makes quick work of hand-weeding and lightly rakes over the soil as you go. I've even used it for clearing moss and lichen from paving. For weeds like red clover with long deep roots, the pointy end goes underneath and dislodges the weed, keeping the root intact for total removal. The pointy end is also good for potting up young plantlets and dealing with vampires (okay, only joking on the vampire bit). A word of precaution if you have pets 'helping' you garden: remember to leave the prongy end face down when you're not using it, so your dog doesn't accidently tread on it and hurt himself. (And no, this hasn't happened to my dog, but he's a big doofus so I like to pre-empt any doggy dangers).

This is one of my favourite garden tools. It has many uses I don't know how I managed without it. Highly recommend it.
