Description

Shade sails are ideal for keeping you cool if you don’t have any shaded spots in the garden. You can install them over patios, seating and children’s play areas, and even use them as temporary car ports over summer.

Made from sand-coloured 285gsm HDPE fabric these rectangular sails block up to 95% of UV rays while still ‘breathing’ to let cooling air circulate. Tiny holes in the material allow hot air to disperse upwards and away. Whilst not waterproof the sails are lightly shower resistant and tend to keep the area underneath partially dry.

You can fasten them to garden structures or timber/steel poles using our mounting kits (sold separately). Once in place they can stay up throughout the spring and summer, from March to September.

The edges of the sail are strengthened with reinforcing tape and the colourfast fabric is resistant to rot, mould and mildew. It can be cleaned with lukewarm water, mild detergent and a soft sponge to keep it looking as new. Supplied with a 5-year guarantee.

Please note: dimensions given are from corner to corner of the sail. Allow an extra 40cm for mounting materials. If installing to posts, these should slope away from the centre of the sail at an angle of 10° for steel and 20° for timber. Always take down shade sails as a precaution in strong winds.
