Forming part of the Pacific Hybrids Series, they have been bred to withstand higher summer temperatures and have larger than average flowers on their stout stems. A classic cottage garden addition, it is useful for adding height and structural interest to the planting scheme.<BR><BR><li><b>Garden care:</b> Protect young foliage against slug and snail damage in spring. Stake with bamboo canes in mid-spring, before the flowers appear. During the growing season, apply a balanced liquid fertiliser every 2-3 weeks and wearing gloves cut back the faded flower-stems to a flowering side-shoot to encourage repeat flowering. At the end of autumn cut back and compost the faded flower-stems.</li></ul>

A pretty plant. Have had one one stem this year, assuming will have more as time goes by & it becomes established. I was disappointed as it looked a tad sparse, but I do not know much about these plants, a first for me.
