Each spring, fresh new frilly edged, strap-shaped fronds unfurl above the existing foliage, creating upright ‘crinkled’ clumps, which look super when grown in naturalised clusters. It’s a useful fern for adding vertical interest towards the front of a partially shaded border, or for edging in a moist woodland garden.
