Old Bladbean Stud

Canterbury, Kent

Between 2003 and 2011 these five interlinked gardens were designed and created from scratch by the garden owner on three acres of rough grassland. There is a romantic walled rose garden with over ninety old-fashioned rose varieties, a tranquil yellow and white garden, a square garden with a tapestry of self-sowing perennials, a Victorian-style greenhouse, 300ft of colour schemed symmetrical double borders and an organic fruit garden. The gardens are maintained entirely by the owner and were designed to be managed as an ornamental ecosystem with a large number of perennial species encouraged to set seed.

Please see the garden website at www.oldbladbeanstud.co.uk to read published articles, see photos of what's currently in bloom and for more visitor information.
