PHOTOS OF THE BUILD

Construction starts on the Mind garden.

The trees are carefully placed by the team…

…but sometimes machinery is easier!

Time for a well deserved break.

The walls are carefully rendered by artist Guy Valentine.

The wall mix used will create a very tactile finish.

It’s all hands on deck to complete the walls in time.

Birch trees cast dappled light on the finished wall.

Layers of strata can be seen on the stone seats.

Andy and the team review the drawings.

Oyster shells dug-up from the show ground are cleaned.

The bark of the birch trees add to the tactile environment.

Steps within the garden are made from Purbeck stone.

Oak seats carved from a single fallen tree are carefully protected.

The planting palette will be a mixture of woodland and meadow.

Everyday multiple Crocus deliveries are sent from our nursery.

With five days left the team is hard at work to finish planting.

The walls provide a brilliant backdrop to offset the plants.

Even after 12 hours of planting the team are still smiling.

Designer of the garden, Andy Sturgeon, hard at work.

The garden is designed as an uplifting space with lots of colour.

Over 200 different varieties of plants have been grown for the garden.

The garden already feels like it's been there for years.

Evening light catches the plants and creates a relaxing atmosphere.
