Swallow nest box

Designed for barn swallows, this nesting box offers a ready-made home for one of our best-loved summer visitors. Best placed underneath an overhang in an open outbuilding or on a wall, it offers a safe, well-insulated place for swallows to raise their young.

The simple concrete and plywood design blends into its surroundings and reflects the type of nesting sites swallows naturally look for. Positioned out of direct sun and away from disturbance, it can become a regular nesting spot for years to come (swallows are often remarkably faithful to successful nesting sites).

A great way to encourage more wildlife into the garden and support these remarkable birds as they return from their long migration each spring.

Please note: make sure there is a gap of 8cm between the top of the nest and any roof/overhang above. Fixtures not included.
