Do I have to cut the down pipe to fit the rain trap?

etc

Hello, You will need to cut the down pipe, but they are quite easy to install. We have a video on the following link which you might find helpful. http://www.crocus.co.uk/waterbutts

Harcostar Universal Rain Trap Hello, Please can you advise. I have purchased a water butt (not from yourselves, I'm afraid). Anyway, I now want to buy one of your Harcostar Universal Rain Traps. Please can you confirm that the 'butt' end of the pipe will fit a 1 inch hole that is in the water butt. Also, when I purchase the Rain Trap, I will be purchasing an extra length hose, as per your description on the web site - does the hose come in different colours (white would be my preference) or are they mostly black. Many thanks, Simon

Simon Jones

Good morning Simon, Thankyou for your enquiry. The pipe on the universal rain trap does measure 1 inch. Unfortunately we only sell the extra length hose in black, I'm not sure if you would be able to obtain it elsewhere in a different colour. Regards
