Description

If the garden’s blanketed in autumn leaves and you don’t have space in the compost bin, these loose weave jute sacks are ideal. Each sack holds thousands of leaves, keeping them neatly contained while they break down into nutrient-rich leaf mould.

Just fill the sacks and leave them in a corner out of the way. Over winter they’ll attract worms who will add their nutritious worm casts to the mix. In time the leaves and sack will both biodegrade, leaving you with crumbly leaf mould compost to enrich the garden.

After a year it should be rotted down enough to use as a mulch around the garden. Wait two years and you'll have a perfect soil conditioner to dig into beds and borders.
