Tulipa 'Très Chic' is a stunning lily-shaped tulip. Its pure white petals have a cream stripe in the centre that flares from a 'nipped' waist. This tulip is perfect to pair with bicolour tulips like Shirley.

If you love double flowers, Tulipa 'Mount Tacoma' is an excellent choice for a white peony-flowered tulip. The long-lasting flowers open to a creamy white.

Quilted petals often feature green feathers, making Tulipa 'White Parrot' a perfect choice. With large ivory white petals, these tulips love sunlight.

For something a little different, choose Tulipa' Spring Green'. Its elegant petals are white with a bright green central band. Perfect to brighten up a spring day.

Our top advice for White Tulip Bulbs

When to plant tulips

  • Tulip planting can be tricky. However, here are some quick tips to help you know when to plant your tulips for the best displays.

    If you are growing them in pots, start planting in September. To avoid tulip fire, make sure you are using fresh compost and clean pots.

    You can plant them in the border from late October to November. If planted too early, they may develop the fungal disease 'tulip fire'. This stops them from producing flowers. If it's looking like we're having a warm winter, hold off for a little longer.

  • White tulips are a staple in the spring garden, and we love to pair them with other stunning spring bulbs.

Double-flowering white tulips
