Plant description
The black-stalked, triangular fronds of this elegant maidenhair fern are made up of lots of lobed segments, which create a soft and lacy effect. The colouring of the fronds is pretty too - being a soft yellowish-green initially, but turning a darker green as they mature.
Adiantum raddianum 'Fragrantissimum' is a wonderful plant for a larger terrarium as it loves a humid atmosphere, but it will also flourish in a steamy bathroom or kitchen.
Please note that the plant comes in a 13cm nursery pot as standard, unless a decorative pot cover is included as an option.

How to care for Adiantum raddianum Fragrantissimum:
Maidenhair ferns needs a warm, humid environment, such as a kitchen or bathroom, and should be grown in bright, indirect light, avoiding direct sun which can scorch the fronds. Water regularly in spring and summer to keep the compost evenly moist but not soggy, using tepid, rain water where possible.
In winter, reduce watering slightly but do not allow the soil to fully dry out. Maintain high humidity year-round by misting daily, placing the pot on a pebble tray filled with water. Avoid cold draughts or dry air from radiators, and remove any yellowing fronds to keep the plant looking fresh. Repot in spring to refresh compost.
