Symptoms

The symptoms are variable depending on what type of galls they are, but they are usually spherical or irregular knobbly swellings which can appear on any part of the plant.

Cause

Its not exactly known how galls occur, although it is thought that soil dwelling bacteria are the culprets. These bacteria enter plants through small wounds.

Harm

Although they look serious, galls aren't harmful, only unsightly.
