Plants behave as though they are suffering from drought. Leaves turn yellow and the plant dies off, the young leaves are the first to be effected.
There are several causes of root damage – from digging near the plant, waterlogging, drought, etc.
Sudden or slow death.
Cut back the plant by up to a third so the roots are put under less stress trying to sustain a larger plant. Keep the plant well watered so the limited roots will still get enough water. Use a foliar feed - one which is sprayed onto and absorbed by the leaves. Most liquid foods can be diluted and put into a sprayer and used to mist the leaves, becareful not to do this in direct midday sun as this will scorch the leaves. Hope!
