Cymbidium 'Gingerbread' is an impressive orchid known for its striking flowers and robust growth. It features vibrant crème brûlée-coloured petals with rich burgundy or red markings, creating a captivating contrast. The diminutive flowers are borne on tall, upright spikes, often producing multiple blossoms, making it a stunning, tropical focal point. 'Gingerbread' is particularly prolific and offers exceptional performance, reblooming with additional flower spikes within a single flowering cycle. This cultivar thrives in cooler temperatures, ideally requiring a minimum of 10°C in winter, and prefers bright, indirect light to flourish.

How to care for Cymbidium Ginger Bread:
This orchid prefers cooler growing conditions, between 10-14°C in the winter, and below 30°C in the summer in a well lit place, with good ventilation but not in full sun. Let the compost dry out slightly on the surface before watering with tepid soft water, or rainwater, allowing any excess water to drain away and then remove - don't leave the plant sitting in water. Feed through the summer with an orchid feed. It may produce roots outside the pot, but this is nothing to worry about. Once the flowers have finished, cut back the flower spikes to the base. Pot on using a specialist orchid compost.
