Buy Helenium autumnale 'Salsa' (Mariachi Series) (PBR) sneezeweed: Lashings of late flowers

This perennial dies back to below ground level each year in autumn, then fresh new growth appears again in spring.

  • Position: full sun
  • Soil: fertile, moist, well-drained
  • Rate of Growth: average
  • Flowering period: August to October
  • Hardiness: fully hardy

When planted in generous drifts, these beautiful flowers will transform your borders in late summer and autumn. Topping relatively compact plants, their burnished colouring will look fantastic when mixed with yellows and oranges, and they make a stunning contrast for strong purples. The flowers last well, and make great additions to the vase when cut.

  • Garden care: Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering. Lift and divide congested colonies in autumn or spring every two to three years.

Great Helenium Variety

5

Great for bees, they love Heleniums. This variety is about 2 feet high and compact. Loads of flowers and still going strong at the end of October. Some of our Heleniums have suffered from the excessive rain we have had this October but this variety has stood up very well. Would definitely recommend. Very good supplier as well. We ordered 3 plants and ended up with 8 after splitting them for re-potting
