Autumn is a magical time of the year in the garden. As the temperatures start to drop and the nights draw in, plants begin to prepare for their winter dormancy. As a result the leaves of many of them will turn dazzling shades of yellow, orange and red before they are shed. This is often a spectacular sight, so it is well worth trying to squeeze one or two of the more noteworthy specimens into your garden.
