The Laurent-Perrier Garden
designed by Tom Stuart-Smith
The Laurent-Perrier Garden was a vision of romance and elegance, offering a private space for entertainment or reflection.
A modern garden of varying textures, the centrepiece was an elegant bronze pavilion, designed by award-winning architect Jamie Fobert, which overlooked an elongated pool. The pavilion was constructed from folded sheets of patinated copper, which contrasted with the naturalistic woodland planting surrounding it.
A pattern of paths guided the viewer through the trees, whilst natural stone provided a rich, textured wall around the garden.
The planting comprised three elements: a grove of Betula and river birch, hedges of cloud-pruned box, and spring woodland planting.
