  • Position: full sun or partial shade
  • Soil: well-drained soil
  • Rate of growth: fast-growing
  • Flowering period: March and April
  • Flower colour: creamy-white petals and a yellow trumpet
  • Other features: excellent cut-flowers
  • Hardiness: fully hardy
  • Bulb Size: 5/7

This is a wild daffodil rather than a cultivated variety, so it will give a more naturalistic effect when planting in open woodland or grassy meadows. It has creamy-white petals with a yellow trumpet. These may be slightly more erratic at producing flowers than other daffodils, but they are much more tolerant of shady positions.

  • Garden care: Wearing gloves plant bulbs 10cm deep and 10cm apart in autumn. After flowering feed with a balanced fertiliser, dead-head the flowers, but do not be tempted to cut back or tidy the foliage after flowering as this will interfere with the bulbs ability to store energy for the following year's flowers.
