Plant of the week
Sedum spectabile 'Brilliant'
September is the highlight of the year for this luscious Sedum - a time when
the tightly held green buds finally open to reveal large flat heads of
bright pinkish mauve flowers floating on top of the succulent grey-green
leaves. Sedums are a magnet for butterflies, bees and many other beneficial
insects as they provide a valuable and long-lasting late source of nectar.
