Great frost protected pots for a good price

I planted agapanthus in these attractive pots last summer. The pots have definitely survived this hard winter though I'm not yet sure about the agapanthus!

These pots add a parred down design elegance to the structure of the garden and could be classed as artwork in themselves! They survived the winter well, just as described. I planted deep blue agapanthus in mine which looks lovely with the terracotta pot.

This pot is very elegant, standing tall so the plants can be shown off. It survives the winter, and it is well recommended

Which size should I choose for planting a clematis (viticella) or a trachelospermum? And how much compost ? JINo3? Or a multi-purpose? Thank you!

Chervil

Hello there I would choose the largest of these pots 42cm × 54cm and use a good loam compost such as John Innes no 2 or 3. As a very general guide you will need around 20 litres of compost to fill this large long tom.

I would like to use these pots to plant out agapanthus. Please advise on which size pot is most suitable for a tall plant like an agapanthus. I was planning on buying the small and planting one agapanthus per pot but if you think it would look better to plant more than one plant in a bigger pot it would be helpful to know. Many thanks.

Fiona

Hello, Yes, the small size would be suitable for most of the agapanthus - unless you opt for a really large cultivar, or a really small one (in which case you could plant 3 per pot).

Helen

Do they have pre drilled drainage holes

Milestone

Yes, these pots do come with pre drilled drainage holes.

Product Buyer

Do you have other designs of Yorkshire terracotta pots

Dave

Hello there No we only have these long tom pots, which come in 3 sizes:- Small 26cm x 33cm Medium 31cm x 39cm Large 42cm x 54cm

Are the dimension diameter x height?

Stone wear

Hello, Yes, these pots are taller than they are wide, so the larger measurement refers to the height, while the smaller measurement is the diameter.

Helen

Sorry, I didn't specify the size of pot in my previous question about amount of compost needed to fill it. I'm referring to the largest Long Tom pot, 42x53cm

Wiz

Hello, As a very general guide you will need around 20 litres of compost to fill this large long tom. Keep in mind though that if you are planting something with a large rootball you will need less.

Helen

Hi there, I am trying to replace a broken one of these pots which was damaged by the shippers when we moved to New Zealand. Do you ship to New Zealand. If yes please could you let me have an estimate of the shipping cost to Auckland. Thanks

Alan

Hello, unfortunately we only deliver to the UK mainland, The only way around it is having it delivered to a friend in the uk and then getting them to ship it over for you.

Steve

Yes we do sell the Original Yorkshire Long Tom pots, they come in small, medium and large. I can confirm that this product does have drainage holes. The link below will take you straight to this item. http://www.crocus.co.uk/product/_/original-yorkshire-long-tom/classid.2000005320/
