Hello, As this disease rarely causes any serious damage, there is not usually as great need to control it, and as the spores are windblown, it is also really difficult to prevent. The spores will only survive on living tissue, so you will find it often moves between plants, so when you plum has shed its leaves it may move to neighbouring host plants - in the case of the plum, these are often either Anemone coronaria or A. x fulgens.
