  • Tread plate for ease of use

Aerate your lawn to improve uptake of nutrients and water during growing season with the Handy Aerator.

The tool is light and simple to operate, though you'll expend some energy using it! Tread firmly on the base plate and five hollow tines will penetrate the lawn, punching out 2cm wide x 5cm deep plugs of soil and dropping them in the collecting tray.

The springs around the tines will push them back out of the ground so you can easily move onto the next patch. If treating very firm ground, the aerator can be used with fewer tines to exert more pressure.

Repeat the process over the whole lawn to improve its overall condition. Once you've finished, the handles can be folded away for compact, easy storage.

Please note: machinery cannot be left without a signature, so you will need to sign for this item. If you can't be in, please let us know to leave with a neighbour when you place your order.

Supplied with a 1 year manufacturer's warranty.

What is the diameter of the tynes? It says 5mm to 20mm, is it adjustable or are there different sizes to fit as required?

RoyL

Hello, Thanks for your email. We had a mistake on our site and it should have read 5 x 20mm tines, so the diameter of each tine is 20mm. I hope this helps,

Helen

Good morning Thank you for your enquiry. I have checked with our buyer and they have advised this would dig about 50mm cores. If your soil is very badly compacted and drainage is very poor aerating will help relieve some compaction but it may not solve the problem completely. http://www.crocus.co.uk/product/_/lawn-aerator/classid.2000008965/ I trust this information is of help and if we can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us again. Can you please tell me how deep the sprung tines Lawn Aerator will go into the ground? The 'soil' on our lawn is just about solid clay, so unless I can get through the clay I'm assuming that aerating won't improve drainage at all? Please advise. Thanks
