    In each border collection you will receive 55 items comprising of the following

  • Dahlia 'Twyning's After Eight': - 1 tuber
    A decorative form that forms attractive mounds of deep purple foliage, which looks almost black in certain lights. From mid summer until the first frosts, this is topped with branching, upright stems, carrying single, near flowers. The contrast is superb and will add real interest to the border. Alternatively, pot it up and place it on the patio, where it will add a colourful splash for many months of the year. This is a cracking dahlia, that has been given the prestigious Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society. Grows to 75cm.
  • Galtonia candicans : 3 bulbs
    Slender, tubular, slightly fragrant funnel-shaped waxy flowers, are borne profusely in from Late July to September. This requires a sunny position as its a south african native. This superb late summer flowering bulb, has been given an AGM from the RHS. Grows to 1.2m.
  • Gladiolus murielae : 40 corms
    Delightful spikes of loose, nodding, funnel-shaped, highly fragrant white flowers, with a prominent burgundy blotch at the base of each petal. Each flower dances on the breeze at the end of its slender stem. Grows to 1m.
  • Lilium 'White Heaven': 1 bulb
    Big, deliciously scented, white flowers form in open clusters at the top of the upright stems in midsummer. These wonderfully showy flowers look brilliant in the border, but also work well in large, deep pots and containers. Make sure they are planted near a path, seating area or entranceway, so you can enjoy their heady perfume each time you pass. The flowers will also last well after being cut, so make sure you plant some extras for the vase. Grows to 1.2m.
  • Ornithogalum thyrsoides : 10 bulbs
    Large star shaped flowers with semi-erect, mid-green leaves that wither as the flowers open in early summer. Each stem can up to 30 flowers To provide the conditions in which it thrives plant the bulbs 10-15cm (4-6in) deep in fertile, well-drained soil. This early summer flowering bulb, has been given an AGM from the RHS. Grows to 40cm.
