Eventual height & spread

My senecio appears to be rotting from roots. It was placed in a bright room. It is a very warm room as we have a log burner in there too. The top of the plant is brown and appears to have died?

These are succulent plants, so rotting at the roots is nearly always a sign of too much water. I am not really sure if the log burner will have an effect as that will depend on how close the plant is too it, and if the burner is on all the time or not.
