Buy Osteospermum 'Pink Eyed Beauty' African daisy:

This perennial is semi-evergreen so it can lose some of its leaves in winter. In colder regions or more exposed gardens, it may lose them all, but then fresh new growth appears again in spring.

  • Position: full sun
  • Soil: moderately fertile, well-drained soil
  • Rate of growth: average
  • Flowering period: June to September
  • Hardiness: half hardy (will need winter protection)

From early summer an abundance of daisy-like flowers will smother the rich green foliage, often until the first frosts. This beautiful new form has butterscotch coloured petals that fade to a dusty pink towards the central eye. These African daisies are compact growers perfect for patio pots, front of borders or planted along the edges of paths for lots of colour. Don't forget to dead head regularly to keep those flowers coming!

  • Garden care: Avoid winter wet and protect plants in very cold areas. Semi-ripe cuttings can be taken in late summer and over-wintered in a frost-free place.
