    Soft mounds of lobed and deeply divided foliage provides a good food source for the Brown Argus butterfly larvae and is also useful for supressing weeds at the front of the border. This decorative perennial will also produce clusters oof white, lavender or blue flowers, each variously veined, in early and midsummer. Wonderful in a naturalised setting where it will self-seed freely.

  • Garden care: In midsummer rejuvenate plants that are beginning to look jaded, by removing old flowered stems and leaves. Lift and divide large colonies in spring.
