Buy Cytisus 'Moyclare Pink' broom:

This shrub is deciduous so it will lose all its leaves in autumn, then fresh new foliage appears again each spring.

  • Position: full sun
  • Soil: fertile, well-drained, preferably neutral to acid soil
  • Rate of growth: average to fast-growing
  • Flowering period: April to May
  • Hardiness: fully hardy

One of the best plants for cold, exposed or coastal gardens, this pretty broom will take it all in its stride and still put on a great show. It has slender stems, which become more arching as they grow. These are clothed with small green leaves, but it is for the masses of pink, pea-like flowers that appear in spring that this plant is most highly prized.

  • Garden care:Pinch out the shoots of young plants to encourage the development of a bushy habit. It needs to be pruned each year after flowering to ensure a bumper crop of flowers in the following year. Reduce the flowered stems to young sideshoots or low buds, taking care not to cut into the old wood.

Beautiful scented broom

Brought 2 growing well, looking forward to spring when they bloom

South Wales

I had one of these years ago but left it at a previous house. I Cannot wait until spring when they start to flower.

Vigorous with long flowering period. Good at middle and back of border as it does not block views of plants behind it
