Asparagus knife / perennial cutter

Traditional asparagus knives are hard to find these days, but they are a 'must have' for the serious and not so serious asparagus grower, as they help cut the spears cleanly below soil level. This beautiful tool is made from top-quality, solid forged Sheffield steel, and is a replica of the traditional fenland design. It has a specially shaped 25cm (10") long serrated blade, and an oiled hardwood handle that will fit snugly into your palm. Ideal for harvesting asparagus, it can also be used for dividing over-large clumps of perennials, or for cutting through the tough rhyzomes of an over-zealous bamboo.
