Little owl box

If you live somewhere near an orchard, some parkland or a farm, you might be able to encourage a little owl to set up home in your garden. Unlike bigger owls, these small critters are only 8-9” tall and can often be seen during the day. They hunt at dawn and dusk and feed on small mammals like mice and voles (occasionally taking a small rabbit), as well as beetles, worms and fish.

If you don’t have any little owls in your area, this box will also make a nice home for a kestrel, a jackdaw or a dove.
