• Position: full sun
• Soil: humus-rich, moisture retentive soil
  
  If you only grow one cauliflower, this should be it. Good for early, mid-season and late sowings, it produces excellent quality heads with tightly-packed curds, well-protected by sturdy, dark green leaves. The plants stand well until you're ready to pick them and also have a delicate, fine flavour: cut heads young to enjoy them at their best.
  
  
• Growing Instructions:Sow early into trays or modules under cover and pot on as soon as seedlings are large enough to handle, or later into a well-prepared seed bed in drills. Thin to 10cm apart and plant into final growing places once they have five or six leaves, allowing 45cm between plants. Protect against slugs and net against pigeons. Keep cauliflowers well watered throughout the season to prevent curds bolting (forming flower heads).
