    Pale green new foliage darkens with age before turning orange and red in autumn. This is spreading tree has slightly arching branches that are covered with cup-shaped, fragrant white flowers in mid-spring. A lovely tree for the small to medium sized garden.

  • Garden care: When planting incorporate lots of well-rotted garden compost in the planting hole and stake firmly. Prune in summer to reduce the risk of silver leaf and bacterial canker. Cut back any dead, diseased or branches which cross to healthy wood.
