Slender dark, glossy green leaves in summer turn claret-red in autumn, particularly when grown in poor soils. A beautiful ash that is fast-growing with a slender shape and graceful foliage that slightly droops. Best planted as a specimen tree in grass.
- Garden care: Requires minimal pruning. Remove any broken, diseased or crossing branches in late autumn or winter. When planting incorporate lots of well-rotted garden compost in the planting hole and stake firmly.
