  The upright stems of this deciduous shrub are sparsely clothed with simple, dark green leaves with silky undersides. Throughout the summer fragrant, pea-like yellow flowers appear in profusion creating a wonderfully vibrant show. A native of dry regions throughout the Mediterranean, it will thrive in a dry, sunny spot and is quite happy with chalky soils and coastal conditions.
