Primula auricula 'Gizabroon'
- Position: full sun or partial shade
- Soil: moist, humus-rich, neutral to acid soil
- Rate of growth: average
- Flowering period: March to May
- Hardiness: fully hardy
Deep chocolate-red petal tips and a vibrant yellow are accentuated by a creamy white collar. These exquisite, softly scented flowers form in loose umbels, which top the upright stems throughout spring. The fleshy foliage is a pale greyish green, and this provides a soft contrast to the colourful blooms.
- Garden care: Divide large clumps after the plant has flowered, preferably during a wet spell.
