Long lasting blue flowers and excellent red autumn foliage Clusters of pale to mid-blue flowers from August to October and purple-margined, mid to dark-green leaves. This lovely, long-flowering deciduous shrub is perfect for a sheltered, sunny shrub or mixed border. Best planted in fertile, moist but well-drained soil, the foliage turns spectacular shades of red in autumn.
- Garden care: In early or mid-spring cut back the flowered shoots to within 2.5cm (1in) of the old growth. After pruning apply a generous 5- 7cm mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant.
