A beautiful orange coloured, tall, German iris with tangerine-red beards and fully ruffled petals. You will get up to 7 to 9 buds per stem, which is pretty impressive, especially on such an easy to grow plant. The large orange flowers top great fans of long sword-like grey green leaves, and look great when planted with contrasting mauves and purples.

  • Garden care: Plant shallowly with the upper part of the rhizome sitting on the surface of the soil, incorporating a low nitrogen fertiliser in the planting hole. After planting remove the upper-most third of the leaves to minimise the incidence of wind-rock. In exposed areas stake with bamboo canes in early spring.
