  • Position: full sun or partial shade
  • Soil: well-drained soil
  • Rate of growth: fast-growing
  • Flowering period: June
  • Flower colour: white
  • Other features: the seeds can cause severe discomfort if ingested
  • Hardiness: fully hardy

Beautiful white flowers that are flushed pink are produced in early summer above clumps of mid-green leaves. The lovely lupin looks lovely planted at the middle or back of a border, but plant it near enough so that the lovely peppery scent can be admired. Remember to deadhead after flowering and protect against frost-damage by covering the crown of the plant.

  • Garden care: Stake with bamboo canes in spring before the flowers appear and deadhead the faded blooms to encourage a second flush of flowers. Protect young plants from slug and snail attack
