    The white-throated, gentian blue flowers of this showy perennial are held on wiry red stems above the lush-green, fern-like foliage from mid-spring to early summer. Appearing in dainty clusters, their vibrant colour looks luminous in partial shade. Plant them along the edge of a path, or create clumps throughout a woodland floor.
