  • Position: full sun
  • Soil: well drained, moderately fertile, neutral to slightly acidic soil, or equal parts ericaceous compost, leaf mould and sharp sand if grown in a pot
  • Rate of growth: average
  • Flowering period: May to August
  • Flower colour: pink
  • Hardiness: frost hardy (may need protection in colder areas)

    A low-growing, clump-forming perennial that produces an abundance of flowers throughout the summer. Originating from open meadows, it makes a fine specimen for an alpine bed or rockery, and will also look attractive in a decorative pot placed in a sunny spot.

  • Garden care:Avoid excessive moisture during the winter months, but water freely during summer. They will also benefit from a monthly feed using a general purpose, liquid fertiliser.
