Another improved Japanese variety which is great for early planting and can be harvested from late May to early June. It has a mild flavour and will store well until the following spring in the right conditions. This variety also has a good resistance to bolting.
Garden care: Plant onion sets from September to November 15cm (6in) apart in rows 30cm (12in) apart. Lift the onions when they are mature and allow them to dry before using.
