  • Position: full sun or partial shade
  • Soil: moist but well-drained soil
  • Rate of growth: average
  • Flowering period: July
  • Hardiness: frost hardy (needs winter protection in cold areas)

Great for pots, front of border positions or even low hedges, this compact evergreen has decorative foliage as well as white summer flowers. Like most of the nandinas, the new foliage is brightly coloured - this one is a lush shade of bronze-orange. As the leaves age, they turn green, but will often take on fiery undertones throughout the colder months, so you get year-round interest. The white summer flowers are pretty too.

  • Garden care: In mid or late spring lightly cut back any shoots that spoil the symmetry of the plant.

      Hello there
Yes this plant is evergreen, but doesn't really need much pruning. You can lightly cut back any shoots in mid or late spring to keep the shape.

      Hello there
This Nandina is a dwarf variety, so it should be fine grown in a large pot as long as it is watered and fed regularly.
      Hope this helps

      Hello there
As this is quite a new Nandina variety it is hard to be precise on it's eventual size, but the breeders say that it could grow up to about 1m eventually.
      Hope this helps
