Masses of marvellous, magenta-purple, geranium-like flowers from June to September and toothed, mid-green leaves. This dainty heron's bill is ideal for the front of a sunny herbaceous border with sharply drained, neutral or alkaline soil. Where conditions are right it will flower over an extremely long period and self-seed freely. - Garden care: Divide congested colonies in spring.
