- Position: full sun or partial shade
- Soil: fertile, well-drained, neutral soil
- Rate of growth: fast-growing
- Flowering period: May to June and August to September
- Hardiness: fully hardy
Greenish-yellow buds open from early to midsummer to large creamy-white flowers, each with a prominent cluster of brown-tipped stamens. Tolerant of a little light shade, it will flower best in full sun, and its relatively compact habit makes it perfect for large pots topped with a wigwam of canes.
- Garden care: Remove dead and damaged stems before growth begins in early spring, cutting all remaining stems back to where strong buds are visible. Apply a slow-release balanced fertiliser and a mulch of of well-rotted garden compost around the base of the plant in early spring.
