Clematis 'Shikoo'

Purple-blue double flowers with large outer petals and a ruff of shorter petals at their centre, appear from late spring. In late summer a second flush may appear, but at this stage the flowers only bear a single row of larger petals. Their rich colour mixes well with deep pinks and plum, and they make particularly good partners for roses. - Garden care: Remove dead and damaged stems before growth begins in early spring, cutting all remaining stems back to where strong buds are visible. Apply a slow-release balanced fertiliser and a mulch of of well-rotted garden compost around the base of the plant in early spring.
