Each upright flowerspike is crowded with flaring, bell-shaped flowers that have a deliciously sweet scent. The petals are a soft shade of rose pink, becoming paler towards the outer edges, so they blend easily with richer pinks and white. Shades of lilac, blue and purple will look good too. Showy at the front of the border, they also look great in pots and windowboxes.
- Garden care:
Using gloves plant bulbs 10-15cm (4-6in) deep and 15cm (6in) apart in early or mid-autumn.
