  Crocus don't come in pink, but the insides of the lilac petals of this variety do have a pink flush, making them the closest thing to it. They are tough growers too. Plant them underneath shrubs and trees for early colour, or scatter and plant them where they fall to create drifts of colour through the lawn.
  
  
• Garden care: Plant bulbs in naturalistic drifts 10cm (4in) deep in September or October.
